Associate Director β Field Training, Therapeutic Areas (reports to Senior Director, US Market Training & Excellence)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain commercial field training curricula (technical and soft skills) in oncology.
- Facilitate oncology disease state and product training for new and experienced Account Managers.
- Design, develop, and deploy oncology workshops for regional/national meetings.
- Create annual training plan; determine training needs based on business objectives.
- Partner to develop and execute launch plans for new indications/products.
- Lead new-hire onboarding (Learning Journey, certifications) and continuing oncology education.
- Develop and monitor training metrics/KPIs; provide regular updates to senior leadership.
- Select/manage vendors for approved training support.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to align brand strategy with sales learning needs.
- Develop training programs and facilitation guides; lead training delivery and train-the-trainers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years professional experience required (biotech/pharma preferred).
- 4+ years training or related experience.
- Strong pharma/medical device sales background.
- Oncology therapy, disease state, and treatment protocol knowledge.
- Experience launching new products/indications.
- Ability to interpret clinical trial data/scientific literature.
- Regulatory/compliance knowledge (FDA, HIPAA).
- Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to coach (objection handling, value-based selling, territory management) and deliver virtual/in-person training.
- Instructional design experience (adult learning concepts); LMS/eLearning and digital/AI learning tools preferred.
