Associate Director, Team Lead β€” Therapy Access (Territory: US and Puerto Rico)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute institutional and field therapy access strategy for an assigned territory; model best-in-class execution.
- Own assigned territory accounts, including key customer relationships, access education, internal coordination, and account planning.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports (field coaching, feedback, prioritization, professional development).
- Translate national/regional access priorities into team expectations and measurable execution.
- Educate clinic/institution stakeholders on patient support services, Hub processes, distribution models, and payer requirements.
- Partner with Sales Account Managers, Clinical Coordinators, and Patient Support Services Hub teams to support HCP navigation of access needs.
- Serve as escalation resource for complex access/payer challenges while ensuring compliance and approved resources.
- Liaison between Hub and HCP clinics to educate providers/office staff on programs (coverage authorization, co-pay assistance, etc.).
- Provide live one-on-one education to HCPs and/or office staff.
- Champion compliance/ethical standards; reinforce compliant, regulated field execution.
- Analyze payer trends and field insights to adjust strategy for challenging cases.
- Review escalated patient cases; scan payer policies and provide market updates.
- Travel ~25–60%.

Experience and Educational Requirements (Qualifications):
- 10+ years pharma/healthcare experience; 7+ years in access/reimbursement preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated people leadership/coaching and ability to drive consistent execution.
- Strong access/reimbursement experience supporting HCPs/office staff.
- Experience with β€œbuy and bill” and specialty pharmacy pathways.
- Strong knowledge of payer environment (government/commercial, AOB/LOA, accumulators/maximizers, financial assistance).
- Solid knowledge of patient support programs (Hub, co-pay assistance, nurse educator support).
- Strong HIPAA/OIG/Advertising & Promotion/Anti-Kickback compliance knowledge.
- Rare disease, specialty, and launch experience.

Minimum Skills/Knowledge:
- Analytical, organizational, and attention to detail.
- Ability to coach through complex access scenarios and facilitate team discussions.
- Ability to schedule travel and coordinate field coaching; use own car.
- Overnight travel ability.
