General Summary:
Associate Director of Supply Chain to lead the development of upstream supply strategy for the Pain portfolio and support end-to-end strategic initiatives.
Hybrid requirement: Hybrid position requiring 3 days in Boston per week.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead upstream supply chain strategy and integrate with program strategy.
- Partner with the Program Lead on analyses, recommendations, and internal/external presentations.
- Lead the U.S. S&OP working team; liaise across Commercial, Finance, and Operations.
- Communicate supply plans/updates to Commercial Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership.
- Collaborate across Commercial, Quality, Technical Operations, Regulatory, and Manufacturing Operations.
- Drive scenario planning to balance demand scenarios with supply constraints.
- Resolve issues that could delay material flow or initiative execution.
- Support supply planning for product launches and phase-outs.
- Partner with Finance on annual budgets.
- Own group business processes, including design/drafting/review/approval of SOPs and work instructions.
- Manage order lifecycle (PO execution, release monitoring, coordination with logistics/3PL).
- Oversee inventory management (monthly/quarterly reconciliations; physical counts).
- Support supply chain risk mitigation; participate in strategic sourcing.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Supply chain expertise (S&OP, supply planning, product launch support); enterprise-level strategic mindset.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; lead cross-functional projects in global/matrix environments.
- Analytical/problem-solving/project management; continuous improvement.
- Pharmaceutical supply chain regulations knowledge (cGMP, GCP, GDP, import/export).
- ERP/MRP and planning/content tools (Oracle OPM, Maestro Kinaxis, Veeva, or similar).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in life sciences, supply chain, manufacturing operations, business, or related field.
- 8+ years industry experience with increasing scope/responsibility.
