Associate Director, Strategic Engagement, West - Genetics, Endo & Metabolics

Role: The Associate Director (AD) of Strategic Engagements acts as a field-based partner supporting Mirum's GEM (Genetics, Endocrinology, Metabolics) team. Main objectives include building and maintaining compliant relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and external stakeholders to support brand awareness, scientific credibility, and strategic insights. Responsibilities encompass developing engagement strategies, executing KOL plans, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, medical, market access, and sales teams, and ensuring compliant, value-added interactions. The role involves analyzing market data, facilitating feedback to inform brand strategy, and supporting conference and advocacy initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with at least six years of pharmaceutical or related experience, preferably in customer-facing roles, with a minimum of three years working with genetics/endocrinology KOLs. Skills include strategic thinking, relationship building, project management, data analysis, and proficiency in MS Office. Preferred: Experience working in cross-collaborative, matrix environments and familiarity with genetics/endocrinology. High-value specifics: Focus on rare disease areas within genetics and endocrinology, extensive travel (~65% within the US), and a role that emphasizes compliant, ethical engagement with thought leaders. The position is field-based, requiring proximity to a major airport for regular travel.
