Associate Director, Semantic & Knowledge Engineering (2 Openings)

Role: Associate Director in Semantic and Knowledge Engineering, focusing on designing and governing enterprise semantic models, ontologies, taxonomies, and knowledge graphs to support AI, analytics, and enterprise applications. Responsibilities: develop semantic assets for AI grounding, RAG, enterprise search, reasoning engines; collaborate with product and AI teams to embed semantic capabilities; ensure metadata governance, quality, and lifecycle management; evaluate emerging semantic technologies and guide architecture evolution; mentor junior engineers and communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related; 6+ years of experience in semantic technologies, knowledge engineering, and metadata management; hands-on expertise with ontologies, RDF/OWL, SPARQL, knowledge graphs, and semantic APIs; experience supporting AI-enabled data platforms, enterprise search, and data governance. Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environments; supporting generative AI, LLMs, graph/vector tooling; familiarity with FAIR principles, cloud ecosystems, and semantic standards; advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields.
