Associate Director, Regional Patient Access & Experience (1-year Term)

Role: Associate Director, Regional Patient Access and Experience, supporting patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in a rare disease setting. Objectives: ensure seamless patient engagement, education, and access support throughout the treatment journey. Responsibilities include managing regional patient support programs, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, navigating insurance and financial assistance, representing Denali at advocacy events, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Patient Advocacy. The role emphasizes program operations, process improvements, and compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field; typically 10+ years of experience in pharma/healthcare, with at least 3 years in patient support or managed care, ideally in rare diseases or complex therapies; experience with patient engagement, insurance navigation, and developing patient education programs. Preferred skills include bilingual proficiency (Spanish), strong communication and empathy, and success working in matrixed, remote environments with travel as needed. High-value specifics: support for ultra-rare disease (Hunter syndrome, MPS), patient-centric approach, cross-functional collaboration, regulatory compliance, and experience in complex healthcare landscapes.
