Position Summary
Associate Director, R&D AI Solutions & Analytics. Lead the design, implementation, scaling, and adoption of analytics and AI solutions across Research & Development to improve decision-making, optimize clinical development operations, and enhance portfolio insights.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive build and adoption of R&D analytics/AI solutions via stakeholder engagement, user feedback, and performance measurement.
- Promote experimentation, agility, collaboration, and measurable impact.
- Ensure scalable, reusable R&D analytics delivery, AI enablement, and operational intelligence.
- Mentor junior team members/contractors.
- Lead rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development aligned to enterprise R&D priorities.
- Partner with Digital/IT teams and external vendors to deploy and integrate enterprise AI/analytics.
- Support AI-powered use cases (clinical operations copilots, enrollment analytics, workflow automation, decision-support tools).
- Identify, prioritize, and execute high-value analytics/AI use cases aligned to business objectives.
- Develop and operationalize dashboards, operational metrics, and intelligent analytics products.
- Design and scale insights supporting Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Portfolio Strategy, and broader R&D.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 8+ years in analytics, AI solutions, or digital innovation in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
- Hands-on experience building AI-driven data products, analytics solutions, and operational dashboards.
- Experience in regulated R&D (clinical development, safety, or regulatory).
- Knowledge of CDISC and FHIR.
- Experience partnering with Digital/IT and external vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives; domestic/international travel.

- Base salary $156,000β$195,600; discretionary bonus and equity awards.
