Role: Associate Director, Public Policy and Reimbursement, acting as the team's reimbursement policy SME to support access strategies, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement within Takeda's US Public Affairs team. Responsibilities: analyze federal and commercial coverage, coding, and payment policies (e.g., CMS regulations), monitor evolving reimbursement landscapes across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial markets, and develop strategic policy positions. Lead reimbursement and access initiatives for Takeda's oncology and pipeline assets, including CMS interactions and coding applications. Serve as a cross-functional partner to shape business strategies, evaluate policy impacts like MFN and 340B, and facilitate policy development for FDA-regulated products. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of pharma or healthcare policy experience; strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, coverage, coding (e.g., CPT, HCPCS), and payer/provider environments; experience with FDA-regulated products and market access considerations. Preferred skills include strategic thinking, experience in policy development, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration. Work setup: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. or Cambridge, MA; travel up to 10% within the US.
