Role Summary

The Associate Director (AD) for RINVOQ AD (atopic dermatitis) will lead key strategic initiatives for the brand, including annual strategic and tactical planning, competitive preparedness and field response, ad board planning and execution, and brand support for the Digital Lab to drive brand performance. The AD will coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to enable an integrated go-to-market strategy addressing the evolving dermatology landscape. This role encompasses turning customer insights into engagement strategies and marketing tactics, and partnering across functional teams and the Immunology franchise, US and International, to ensure successful implementation of tactics to grow the RINVOQ AD business. The role reports to the Director of HCP Marketing, RINVOQ AD.

Responsibilities

  • SP2 and Tactical Plan Partnership – This individual will support the development of the annual strategic and tactical planning process for RINVOQ AD, including the synthesis of market research insights and complex clinical data that informs innovative tactical execution.
  • Customer Engagement – This individual will serve as the liaison between the Strategic Marketing team and brand team to lead the process to gain customer insights via consultancy, ad boards, and at key Congresses via CBICs.
  • Sales Force Engagement – This individual will partner closely with the sales force and sales training to develop comprehensive and effective tools that will ensure successful competitive positioning of RINVOQ across strategic fronts, key stakeholders and patient types (MD/DOs & Advanced Practice Practitioners).
  • Execution of Professional Tactics – This person will execute, in partnership with the agency and MRL partners, professional tactics to support competitive education and response for the field team (i.e., ISA development, response handling, competitive workshops and field preparedness).
  • Strategic Communication and Performance Updates – This individual will support ongoing or ad hoc performance updates to internal leadership (i.e., earning call process, ELT support) in partnership with the RINVOQ leadership team.
  • Finance – This individual will oversee the budget for personal and non-personal promotion items related to internal and external agency costs.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
  • Required: Pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Required: Proven ability to complete work on time with excellence
  • Required: Positive attitude and proven ability to build strong relationships with peers, cross-functional and agency partners to enable higher performance
  • Required: Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Required: Strong planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and accountability
  • Required: Familiarity with Veeva and MR approval process
  • Required: Budget management experience
  • Preferred: 6+ years of relevant brand marketing experience
  • Preferred: Prior experience in Professional pharmaceutical marketing
  • Preferred: Strategic and tactical planning experience
  • Preferred: Prior experience growing mature brands and/or in customer-facing activities
  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree
