Associate Director, Procurement Category Management
Responsibilities:
- Partner with VP-level stakeholders to develop global procurement strategies for AI and Emerging Technologies aligned with governance, stage gates, approvals, and risk/regulatory requirements.
- Lead complex programs from strategy through implementation; orchestrate procurement projects aligned to business objectives and long-term vision.
- Create capability playbook, negotiation strategy, and deployment training; ensure continuous evolution based on trends and market analysis.
- Ensure education and governance of capabilities are aligned and continuously evolving.
- Contribute to cross-functional strategic decision-making using market intelligence and awareness of industry trends and market dynamics.
- Define and develop strategic value drivers with key suppliers to secure collaborative partnerships, achieve cost savings, optimize processes, and enhance procurement value.
- Integrate ESG measures into category strategies and collaborate with suppliers on sustainable, responsible sourcing.
- Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), innovation, mitigation strategies, and proactive procurement risk management with compliance.
- Lead supplier roadmaps, strategies, programs, and negotiations.
- Manage projects end-to-end; direct cross-functional teams; identify process optimization and continuous improvement opportunities using data analytics.
- Drive end-to-end procurement from sourcing strategy through contract negotiation and execution; strengthen decisions with analytical insight.
- Drive use cases and adoption for competitive edge (speed, quality, marketplace advantages).
- Act as player-coach across business partnering, consulting, leadership, and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Mgmt, Technology, or related field; Masterβs preferred or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in procurement, supply chain, technology, consulting, or related functions; experience leading category/IT teams and partnering with major suppliers; strong executive deliverables.
- Category management expertise (market analysis, cost/financial assessment); negotiation and bidding fluency; experience overseeing complex projects and change management.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence; strategic thinking and accountability.
- Innovative problem-solving with executive presence; strong cross-functional leadership and conflict resolution.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; resilience under pressure; autonomous work ethic.
