Associate Director, Portfolio Access Strategy

Role: Associate Director, Access Strategy, responsible for executing integrated market access plans and customer campaigns for BioMarin’s U.S. rare disease portfolio, supporting Skeletal Conditions and Metabolic Units. Responsibilities: develop and manage annual access engagement plans aligned with product milestones; create response playbooks for market access events; lead development of customer-facing access resources; translate access insights into actionable strategies for field teams; and oversee agency/vendor support, performance metrics, and operational reviews. Requirements: 8+ years in biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with 4+ years in market access, access marketing, or analytics; bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred); experience in access campaigns, data analysis, and payer environment mastery; strong project management, strategic thinking, and communication skills. HighValue: rare disease therapeutics, biologics or small molecules, early to late-stage development, payer and formulary navigation, specialty pharmacy, and access analytics; experience supporting multiple brands, with familiarity in visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau), data sources (IQVIA, Symphony), and digital platforms (Veeva, Salesforce); up to 25% travel for field engagement and industry events.
