Role Summary

The Associate Director, Immunology Pipeline Commercialization & Strategy Analytics & Performance Excellence leads global analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making for the Immunology portfolio within the APEX program. The role partners with Brand Leadership to guide brand strategy, plans, and execution across multiple disease states, leveraging data and market insights to inform initiatives and launch strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the APEX lead supporting Global Immunology Pipeline Assets, covering multiple disease states and assets including Gastroenterology, Rheumatology and Dermatology. Become a trusted partner to Brand Leadership, guiding brand strategy and advising on key initiatives based on knowledge of the business and market through data and analytics capabilities.
  • Enable and demonstrate leadership on cross-functional business teams across assets and pipeline indications to make better and more rapid business decisions by framing and prioritizing critical brand questions.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with APEX cross functional team, US and Key Affiliate contacts to co-create and execute plans, eliminate redundancies and ensure consistency of our market understanding.
  • Proactively identify analytics opportunities to ensure that decision-making is based on the most current, objective and comprehensive insights.
  • Lead the continuous brand planning process based on a deep understanding of the market drivers, patient journey, competition and positioning, highlighting opportunities to enhance patient and HCP experience and plans to address leverage points and gaps.
  • Incorporate commercial competitive intelligence to help AbbVie anticipate competitor strategies and achieve market leadership.
  • Provide insights to both current dynamics and future market evolution over the next 3–10 years to guide brand teams in the development of successful clinical programs and launch strategies for multiple indications.
  • Lead and participate in initiatives to improve the APEX data and analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure all APEX activities are conducted on time, within budget, and in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required. Advanced degree (MBA, MA, MS, PhD) preferred. Degree concentration in marketing research, marketing or social sciences. Statistical knowledge is a must.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or 8 years if PhD or Masters) in marketing research or marketing consulting roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of key data sources and analytics approaches to gaining insights at the global and country level. Experience developing and executing global analytics and research plans. Experience analyzing and drawing insights from quantitative and secondary data sets.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and thought leadership with strong storytelling capabilities.
  • Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional, global and affiliate teams.
  • Ability to interact effectively with/present to all levels of the organization (verbal and written).
  • Ability to be agile and nimble to changing business conditions, with strong collaboration and teamwork across functional groups to contribute to a productive work culture.
