Associate Director – PCS Price Forecasting

The primary objective of this position is responsible for managing U.S. pipeline price forecasting. Support translation of asset/indication value into optimal launch pricing across AbbVie’s early to late-stage pipeline assets. Align with USMAx pipeline market access organization and work with cross-functional stakeholders to shape the price potential of Brands/Indications using strategic pricing and advanced modeling. Drive scenario analysis such as Gross to Net optimization, Policy impact (IRA/MFN) on pricing, Price Volume Time Tradeoffs, and indication sequencing during BD assessments, LRP, and off-cycle governances. Reports to the Director, PCS Price Forecasting (US Strategic Pricing).

Responsibilities:
- Serve as SME guiding cross-functional teams on U.S. pricing, market access, reimbursement, and IRA considerations by therapeutic area.
- Independently manage pipeline assets and BD evaluations for designated therapeutic areas.
- Evaluate/integrate new pricing approaches; define pricing hypotheses; conduct scenario analysis to develop pricing guidance.
- Provide BD pricing potential input via rapid assessments to identify risks/opportunities affecting asset valuation.
- Support primary/secondary pricing market research with USMAx Pipeline TA & MABI.
- Coordinate review/approval of BD, early price, and pricing guidance for Executive Leadership.
- Provide accurate, timely pricing information for pricing/finance processes (LRP): harmonize assumptions, build price models, coordinate touchpoints and briefings.
- Perform ad hoc pricing analytics (e.g., external benchmarking, gross-to-net, IRA economics).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Data Science/Business Management (required).
- 7–11 years progressive pricing or finance/accounting/pricing & access experience.
- Strong U.S. pharmaceutical pricing landscape knowledge; advanced Excel.
- Excellent verbal/written communication; stakeholder management.
- Preferred: MBA (Marketing/Strategy or Finance) and/or CPA/CMA; multi-division experience; experience designing/implementing pricing strategies and scenario assessments; knowledge of U.S. channel mix and GTN dynamics.
