General Summary:
The Business Engagement & Technology Associate Director will ensure planning and delivery of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom solutions for business partners. Partner with business leadership to develop capabilities and systems roadmaps aligned to business strategy. Ensure reliable, scalable, compliant systems through efficient delivery and enhancements, enabling innovative solutions and integrations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become a trusted partner to business leaders
- Understand needs/vision and deliver technology solutions to enable goals
- Participate in strategic business planning
- Provide insights on technology to improve business processes and operating efficiencies
- Articulate and maintain a technology strategy aligned to business objectives and technology landscape
- Execute strategy by evaluating, selecting, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions
- Develop and maintain a long-term system life cycle plan
- Manage relationships with strategic software vendors and service providers
- Establish, track, and report project value drivers and financial impact
- Build/develop a team and potentially oversee managed services providers
- Work with DTE Compliance, Internal Audit, and Quality Assurance to ensure regulatory compliance and system lifecycle/change management requirements

Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of project management, business analysis, solution design, delivery, and training
- Experience building partnerships with stakeholders and influencing action
- Understanding of business processes and regulatory environments
- Track record delivering on-time, large complex global projects
- Exceptional written/verbal communication
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and ability to develop business cases/value propositions
- Program/project/demand/resource management and system life cycle expertise
- People management; building high-performing teams
- Experience with IT managed services or outsourced/offshore teams
- Strong MS Office skills (MS Project & Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong experience in Agile methodology

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
