Job Purpose
Associate Director, Patient Access β Neurology (Rare Disease) manages strategic and operational patient services tactics to support the Xeris product portfolio, including reimbursement, financial support, patient assistance, patient advocacy management, and adherence support. Leads daily operations of field-based Patient Access Managers across regions.
Essential Job Functions
- Implement newly designed patient services programs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute and sustain Patient Services strategy across reimbursement, financial support, advocacy, and adherence.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovative program enhancements.
- Interface with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Legal, and Compliance on service design and action plans.
- Lead project management for cross-functional Patient Services Projects.
- Serve as liaison/point of contact across Patient Services, Brands, Training, IT, Commercial Operations, and other partners.
- Build Patient Services CRM expertise; coordinate with IT and train internal/external users.
- Lead with IT on patient services systems, upgrades, and reporting.
- Monitor operational metrics and patterns; implement improvements and share best practices.
- Manage team performance; recruit/coach/retain Patient Access Managers; foster continuous learning and matrix effectiveness.
- Strengthen advocacy relationships and support compliant engagement.
- Identify opportunities for patient/advocate input into education and clinical/program documents.
- Establish proactive patient communication best practices (with medical information support).
- Communicate patient community learnings to inform cross-functional strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in business administration/management/marketing or equivalent.
- 8+ years in pharma/healthcare with patient advocacy, reimbursement, and marketing/sales; prior patient access management experience.
- Agility in evolving environments; decision support experience.
- Ability to comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Competencies: Project Management, Relationship Management, Change Agility, Authentic Leadership, Talent Developer, Attention to Details, Written/Verbal Communication.
Working Conditions
- Periodic evenings/weekends; periodic overnight travel. Travel up to 25%.
Compensation (anticipated)
- Base salary range: $155,200β$194,000.
