Role Summary
Associate Director, Pain Strategic Brand Analytics to join the North America Forecasting, Analytics and Market Research team in the Commercial organization. This role provides analytics support for strategic initiatives throughout the evaluation, execution, and measurement lifecycle, and supports analytics measuring execution pull-through of pain BU wins. Analytics work spans Marketing, Market Transformation, and Strategic Accounts, with collaboration across Market Access, Field, and Omnichannel Analytics. The ideal candidate is a skilled individual contributor who can communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and manage cross-functional relationships.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Director, Pain Performance Analytics & Forecasting and Pain BU stakeholders to identify initiatives that would benefit from analytics support and collaboratively create analytics plans.
- Develop and improve a framework for establishing goals and measuring execution pull-through of new wins; present performance during commercial performance meetings.
- Design and operate an analytical engine to identify and quantify market drivers, barriers, and opportunities using advanced statistical/ML methods; synthesize findings for business stakeholders.
- Contribute to ad-hoc analytics questions, determine questions and appropriate data/approach with BU stakeholders.
- Serve as an internal SME to elevate analytics capabilities within the Forecasting, Analytics, and Market Research team through expertise and ongoing self-education.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including US Marketing, Global Marketing, US Market Access, US Finance, and Commercial Sales Operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with complex modeling and analyzing large data sets using SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Experience with commercial pharma data sets such as IQVIA XPONENT PlanTrak, DDD, LAAD, and internal sales/marketing data.
- Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning including time series, XGBoost, predictive modeling, regression, and other statistical methods.
- Experience with products in large, complex markets across retail and hospital settings.
- Strong analytical and business acumen; ability to structure problems, diagnose issues, and triangulate approaches.
- Experience presenting insights to senior leadership and supporting insights generation, analytics, and commercial launch planning.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving business and planning needs.
Education
- Bachelorβs degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics) or equivalent experience.
- 7β10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with 6+ years in insights, analytics, and/or reporting.
