Position Summary
The Associate Director of Operations – Environmental Control Unit (ECU) is responsible for managing day-to-day ECU operations. Provides leadership and oversight for multiple unit operations including tank farm, air emissions control system, and others. Ensures ECU area resources (including Operations Leaders) execute ECU operations safely and compliantly (per SOPs and operational execution instructions) to support manufacturing of high-quality medicine.

Responsibilities
- Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture; protect safety, environment, and quality.
- Ensure ECU operations maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Support execution of the production plan.
- Ensure consistency of operations across shifts through active engagement on the floor.
- Support and provide leadership through site inspections.
- Own the change and improvement agenda for the assigned area with cross-functional integration.
- Set team objectives; own and review the area scorecard.
- Set objectives and development plans for Operations staff (Operations Leaders and Operators).
- Manage events and approve investigations; provide communication within and outside the team.
- Build and develop the team; ensure proper training and current procedures/training materials.
- Communicate site objectives and team business; ensure adequate resourcing.

Startup Phase Expectations
- Build the organization and culture for operational excellence.
- Develop and implement systems/processes for GMP operations using relevant knowledge and external learning.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence using lean principles.
- Support the project team with feedback and assistance.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience in process/plant engineering, technical services, or manufacturing science (preferably API manufacturing).
- Formal leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Benefits / Pay
- Anticipated base wage: $123,000–$180,400.
- Full-time employees may be eligible for a company bonus.
