Position Overview
The Associate Director, PAP Operations, will enable operational excellence and implement best practices to support Patient Assistance Program (PAP) services under the Affordability COE.
Main Responsibilities
- Guide and enhance PAP Program management (SOPs, business rules, process flows/procedures) using enterprise affordability best practices.
- Ensure smooth PAP service implementation for new product indications.
- Support Medicare annual re-enrollment (AR) planning/workflow with HUB vendor (staffing needs, business rule/process alignment, weekly dashboard reporting).
- Monitor and respond to Medicare/Medicaid policy changes by implementing/refining processes and business rules (e.g., LIS, M3P).
- Develop free goods inventory management protocol with pharmacy (cycle counts; reconcile shipments) and build product forecasts aligned to access landscape.
- Manage patient case escalations.
- Partner with brand Patient Support Services (PSS) teams and HUB vendor to streamline CRM update requests.
- Ensure vendor compliance with regulatory and AE/PV reporting and Patient Program Tracker reporting.
- Implement PAP/free goods enhancements (project plans, deliverables, budgets, timelines).
- Analyze dashboards/trends and recommend improvements; support quarterly business reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (FRMs, PSS stakeholders, analytics/reporting, platform/digital, legal/compliance); ensure HUB vendor training resources.
- Determine and develop Field Team resourcing needs with agency of record and internal teams.
About You
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS required.
- 7+ years in affordability program management/patient support services/case management/hub services or related pharma/healthcare field.
- Strong understanding of US patient affordability/access dynamics, policy/payer landscape, and free goods best practices.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong PowerPoint/storytelling; leadership for change.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MFin) preferred.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; influence without authority.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience; strong problem-solving/analytics.
- Ability to guide analytics/reporting for effective free goods dashboards.
