Role Summary

Associate Director, NA Pain Market Research. The role oversees and delivers commercial insights to inform strategic choices and commercialization decisions for the Pain business unit, partnering with Marketing, Field, and Patient Support. Primary focus is the US Pain BU and Patient Support, with potential expansion to Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director, NA Pain Market Research and Pain BU stakeholders to formulate a comprehensive insights generation plan to address a spectrum of business questions using the appropriate methodology
  • Function as a key partner to Marketing and other BU functions to provide objective perspective and insights
  • Independently design and execute primary market research that addresses key business questions
  • Define data analytics needed to answer ongoing business questions and oversee its execution
  • Maintain a current summary of all the insights supporting a disease area in the form of an Insights book
  • Develop the situation analysis for the Brand Planning process

Qualifications

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree in relevant discipline
  • Typically requires 8 or more years in bio-pharma marketing, market research and/or analytics, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge And Skills

  • Depth of knowledge in a variety of primary market research methodologies; substantial experience managing design and execution of primary market research projects
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills; experience running own analyses as well as partnering with advanced analytics professionals, and interpreting results
  • Domain knowledge real-world data (large scale open or closed insurance claims, EHR), and/or other related data sources from providers and health systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills β€šΓ„Γ¬ able to synthesize and distill complex information into a compelling narrative
  • Proactive orientation - able to anticipate issues, engage with stakeholders and plan accordingly
  • Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor and thought partner to stakeholders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; able to effectively structure problems and solution approaches
