Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison - NY Metro

Role: Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison specializing in cancer genomics, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and research leaders within oncology and pathology. Objectives include advancing understanding of FMI’s genomic profiling tools, supporting scientific exchange, and promoting clinical education to improve patient outcomes. Responsibilities encompass stakeholder engagement, scientific presentation delivery, development of educational materials, coordination of scientific forums, and market intelligence gathering. The role involves supporting research initiatives, including investigator-initiated studies, and collaborating with Medical Affairs on advisory boards and publication strategies. Requirements: Master’s degree in health sciences, medicine, nursing, or genetics with 7+ years or a PhD/MD/DNP/PharmD with 4+ years of MSL experience, preferably in diagnostics or biotech, with oncology expertise. Preferred skills include deep knowledge of cancer genomics, biomarker development, clinical endpoints, and strong KOL network within assigned territory. Qualifications include existing relationships with healthcare professionals, experience managing territories, and proficiency in market access and clinical utility of molecular tests. The position demands frequent travel within the territory (70+%), occasional outside-region travel, and effective communication skills. The role is remote-based with regional travel, with an expected salary range of $192,000–$236,000, plus discretionary bonuses and benefits.
