Role Summary

Associate Director, Master Capital Project Scheduler (Americas) is a leadership role within Global Capital Project Services, responsible for development and management of integrated project schedule delivery in the Americas region. The role reviews, validates and baselines schedules from end users and external partners, driving continuous improvement in scheduling. The Master Scheduler develops and maintains the overall schedule for projects to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust systems and processes for the planning and scheduling group aligned with industry best practices.
  • Analyze trends to provide accurate reports, dashboards and visualizations that communicate project status, identify constraints, and recommend mitigations.
  • Adopt an integrated schedule approach covering feasibility through validation, commissioning and start-up.
  • Serve as the point of contact for technical discussions with external vendors regarding scheduling services.
  • Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to measure scheduling deliverables.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement to meet changing business needs.
  • Manage the enterprise construction project scheduling software as Global Business Owner.
  • Drive adoption of lean construction principles within the organization.
  • Ensure Monte Carlo simulations on schedules are properly managed and reported.
  • Participate in scheduling workshops and planning sessions.
  • Develop a framework to identify schedule risks early, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions; leverage AI to build and track complex schedules.
  • Manage schedule training of Project Managers and Project Engineers at various sites.
  • Ensure integrated schedules follow Global Engineering Standards and Best Practice.
  • Train and mentor project team members on schedule management and adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or similar industry.
  • Proven experience as a master scheduler or similar, preferably in a client-based organization.
  • Experience managing schedule delivery for a wide portfolio of end-to-end construction projects across various sites, up to $400,000,000+.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify critical paths and analyze complex data.
  • Knowledge of AI-based or generative scheduling is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and independently to meet objectives.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong experience in planning and execution of pharmaceutical projects.
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project; Generative Scheduling preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25–50% depending on site base.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent related field.
