Role Summary

The Associate Director, Marketing - Patient will support the development and commercialization of key assets, drive cross-functional collaboration and tactical alignment in the US, and lead the development and execution of patient-focused tactics for the commercial launch of encaleret/BBP-418. This role sits on commercial product teams and collaborates with Market Insights, Market Access, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated planning and execution. Requires strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills and reports to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a commercial member on Product Teams, embedding market needs into cross-functional planning
  • Drive innovative tactics and address untapped opportunities
  • Lead patient brand planning, messaging and claims work
  • Identify and support development of patients and caregivers for patient ambassador programming
  • Uncover unmet needs by seeking insights to improve launch planning and execution
  • Lead agile, cross-functional teams to develop/launch patient marketing campaigns that inspire behavioral change and drive brand growth; ensure aligned launch across functions
  • Develop and track metrics to measure the success of marketing/promotional programs
  • Coordinate with digital marketing to build a customer engagement ecosystem
  • Partner with Value and Access to develop programming for patient access and adherence
  • Collaborate with regional teams to bring diverse commercial insights into planning; advocate for these views
  • Partner with advocacy teams to educate and support patients
  • Develop targeted measurement plans to evaluate effectiveness of patient tactics and prioritize efforts
  • Work cross-functionally with agency partners, sales, commercial operations, brand analytics, IT, MCM, etc.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial biotech/pharmaceutical experience, with at least 3 years in Marketing
  • Successful launch experience in a competitive market preferred
  • Rare disease experience preferred
  • Ability to develop and action insights from complex clinical data and market research
  • Understanding of the drug development process and opportunities for differentiation and value demonstration
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Passionate about serving patients with genetic diseases
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Collaborates effectively across functions to align strategy and execution
  • High self-awareness and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on underserved populations
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%
