Role Summary

We are seeking an Associate Director, Market Research and Competitive Intelligence who will report to the Senior Director, Analytics and Insights. You will lead and manage market research and CI initiatives in support of the Gedatolisib launch, planning and executing HCP and patient research and tracking key competitors in the breast cancer landscape. The role will translate research outputs into actionable recommendations to guide commercial strategy and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Market Research (80%)

  • Execute primary market research projects related to HCP and Patients, based on the needs of the stakeholders e.g. marketing team, senior leadership.
  • Manage external vendors or internal stakeholders as required.
  • Translate primary market research findings into actionable insights driving the teamโ€™s decision making accordingly (developing and maintaining the situational analysis document).
  • Present findings to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Build capabilities by researching and implementing new research methodologies, internal and external standards, etc.
  • Develop market research plans and prioritize based on identified knowledge gaps, market research needs, and budget requirements.
  • Ensure documentation repository is current to enable easy tracking of historical market research studies.
  • Ensure market research studies are conducted in a compliant manner.

Competitive Intelligence (20%)

  • Strategic thought partner and subject matter expert who will serve as the go-to resource for competitive intelligence to support brand strategy.
  • Develops and maintains competitive environment landscapes and other needed assessments (threat assessments, benchmarking, etc.).
  • Consistently and effectively communicates with key stakeholders to ensure teams are well informed by presenting landscape updates and distributing timely alerts on key external events while highlighting implications.
  • Understanding of key intelligence needs and identifying appropriate resources to inform information gaps.
  • Models and enforces CI research within appropriate code of conduct, compliance and ethical business practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Art or Science in Health Sciences or related discipline/Business Administration; PhD or Masters preferred.
  • A minimum of eight plus (8+) years of relevant commercial analytical, Market Research and Competitive Intelligence experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in HCP and Patient market research and competitive intelligence, preferably with experience supporting a launch and growing products.
  • Highly skilled at working collaboratively in a team-based environment and at gaining alignment across the organization.
  • Knowledge and experience working within the industry and experience with different market research methodologies and approaches.
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills with ability to present difficult and complex data sets.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a positive โ€˜can doโ€™ attitude and willingness to take a โ€˜hands onโ€™ approach in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly while working under tight deadlines.
