Main Responsibilities
- Execute all market research projects (with support of Director/Sr. Director).
- Lead market research to support brand strategy: identify research needs, select vendors, design, execute, and interpret studies.
- Select best vendors based on business objectives.
- Manage projects within budgets, schedules, and corporate policies/SOPs.
- Explore innovative techniques to address business questions.
- Identify insight needs and recommend approaches to address them.
- Build strong agency partnerships to ensure reliable, high-quality insights.
- Coordinate vendors across the market research process and support fieldwork materials and report development.
- Communicate actionable insights: develop/refine presentations with clear calls to action; synthesize multiple sources; deliver tailored strategic insights; demonstrate strategic business acumen and make recommendations.
- Collaborate in a matrix environment: partner with brand teams; collaborate with forecasting/analytics/patient services; align globally and locally; lead/develop Sr. Manager/Manager roles (as applicable).
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS/MD/PhD) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical market research experience (consulting, vendor/agency, or pharma); or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- End-to-end expertise in quantitative and qualitative market research; strong quantitative analytics, data analysis, and statistics.
- Proven ability to recommend, plan, and lead market research projects.
- Demonstrated expertise incorporating AI into research methodologies/processes.
- Strong strategic thinking and life-sciences industry understanding.
- Excellent project management; ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Preferred: experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., prescription/sales data, patient claims, promotional audits).
- Plus: experience partnering with new product planning/marketing/value & access.
Soft Skills
- Influence in a highly matrixed environment; confident communication to senior leadership.
- Synthesize complex ideas; translate findings into brand implications.
