Associate Director, Legal Contracts

Role: Associate Director, Corporate Counsel focusing on legal contracts within a biopharma setting, primarily supporting research, clinical, and commercial operations. Responsibilities: draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of agreements (e.g., clinical trial, licensing, manufacturing, vendor, confidentiality), provide legal advice on contractual and compliance issues, and optimize contracts policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, address legal challenges, and monitor regulatory developments. Requirements: Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, active California Bar license, 6-8 years' legal experience, ideally in biotech, pharma, or life sciences, with strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Preferred: experience with clinical trial agreements, licensing, supply agreements, and familiarity with contract management systems. High-value: industry-specific expertise in clinical development, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with R&D and commercial teams. Work setup: face-to-face work in San Diego; position not fully remote.
