Position Summary
Associate Director (Lead Cloud Architect) β€” core technical leadership role focused on architecting, developing, and automating critical components of the AWS Cloud Platform and application delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities
- Own and build AWS Landing Zone (Control Tower, AWS Organizations) ensuring high availability, Transit Gateway resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code modules (CloudFormation) with GitHub and a GitOps model.
- Architect scalable, resilient, cost-efficient cloud-native enterprise solutions; enforce serverless-first, autoscaling, multi-AZ; design for disaster recovery.
- Build secure cloud-native solutions using CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, DynamoDB, S3.
- Embed security automation in CI/CD (policy-as-code e.g., OPA; automated compliance checks) and strong AWS Config/IAM org policy knowledge.
- Treat cloud platform/toolchain as a product to improve developer experience and time-to-market.
- Integrate AI/ML tools into SDLC (e.g., code generation, intelligent testing, security patch recommendations).
- Architect/optimize CI/CD (GitHub Actions or equivalent) for continuous delivery.
- Drive FinOps/resource optimization via automated mechanisms/reference architectures.
- Establish/enforce cloud standards, design patterns, quality gates, and lead architecture reviews.

Required Qualifications/Skills
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering (preferred).
- 10+ years IT/software; 7+ years enterprise AWS engineering and DevOps delivery.
- Expert Python and NodeJS (or other major language); CloudFormation (IaC).
- Expert GitHub; use branching strategies and Actions/Advanced Security.
- Product-development mindset; expertise in IAM policies, network architectures, and troubleshooting distributed systems.

Preferred
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
