Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert understanding of U.S. international tax law (GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F, foreign tax credit) for preparation/review of income tax provisions and tax return filings.
- Lead complex initiatives with solid project management and communication with senior management, external advisors, and team members.
- Oversee advanced modeling to evaluate tax implications of restructurings/transactions and evolving global legislative/regulatory changes.
- Research complex tax issues and advise senior management on interpretation/application of tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners worldwide on international tax matters.
- Work with Tax Digital Transformation on process improvements; participate in training/pilots for tax automation and AI-enabled workflows.
- Integrate business and tax considerations into tax planning, forecasting, and advising.
- Support tax controversy defense by researching and drafting responses to IRS requests.
- Coordinate worldwide remittances; develop strategy for planning/managing/overseeing dividend payments; provide guidance on previously taxed earnings and profits.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- CPA certification (or equivalent) or CPA eligible.
- 6+ years tax experience, including 4+ years U.S. international tax experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States (Lilly will not sponsor visas).
Additional Preferences:
- OneSource or other tax compliance systems; Power BI.
- Strong U.S. international tax knowledge; tax planning/research.
- FIN 48/deferred taxes knowledge; multitasking/prioritization.
- Interpersonal communication/presentation; collaboration; organizational/self-management.
- JD or Master of Tax; global transfer pricing knowledge; leadership.
Additional Information:
- Travel ~5% as needed; overtime at peak times; Indianapolis based.
