The P2P & Engagement Lead – Gastroenterology drives international peer-to-peer engagement strategy and scientific influencer activation across AbbVie’s global markets, ensuring AbbVie’s leadership in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) through medical–commercial partnerships, data-driven engagement models, and HCP experience excellence. As part of the International Commercial Team, the role ensures messages are delivered credibly, compliantly, and consistently across markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead international P2P & HCP engagement strategy for the Gastroenterology portfolio.
- Partner with Area and Affiliate teams to localize global engagement strategies.
- Lead planning of International Expert Forums, symposia, and advisory initiatives.
- Develop and standardize speaker and KOL engagement frameworks across markets.
- Oversee training for speakers and scientific advocates (data-driven and compliant content).
- Use digital, hybrid, and in-person formats; evaluate impact via KPIs, dashboards, and feedback analytics.
- Build relationships with regional KOLs, professional societies, and patient organizations.
- Partner with Medical Affairs and Market Access; align with scientific and payer landscapes.
- Align P2P initiatives with brand objectives, launches, and lifecycle priorities.
- Use analytics and field insights to refine engagement strategies; identify trends.
- Drive innovation in engagement models (e.g., virtual advisory boards, on-demand education, omnichannel learning).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Life Sciences/Business or related); MBA or MSc preferred.
- 5+ years commercial experience in pharma/biotech (ideally Gastroenterology/Immunology).
- Proven HCP engagement and peer-to-peer program leadership.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, cross-functional influence.
- Deep understanding of IBD market dynamics and treatment landscape.
- Ability to travel internationally (~40%).
- Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
