The Associate Director, Immunology Finance will provide financial leadership and business support for the Rheumatology. Responsible for financial planning and analysis related to Plan, Update, LBE and LRP; decision-making support and recommendations to Senior Management based on market dynamics, brand strategy, resourcing, and strategic projects related to the Rheumatology franchises. Ensures accuracy of financial statements and supports staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SG&A planning processes (Plan/LBE/LRP) with accurate, clear deliverables aligned to business strategy for Executive review.
- Develop financial models with business partners incorporating market dynamics and brand strategy.
- Serve as a strategic partner for US Rheumatology; provide clear deliverables for Executive management review.
- Ensure adequate resourcing levels for successful launch of functional assets.
- Conduct decision support/special projects analyses for ad hoc business presentations tied to LRP objectives.
- Ensure accurate monthly reporting for strategic projects and P&L actuals.
- Delegate to and coach staff; provide coaching and career development to sustain a high-performing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- 10 years progressive accounting or finance experience (required).
- Proactive problem identification/evaluation; directing efforts to achieve results.
- Strong problem solving and analysis using AbbVie financial policies (CFMs) and GAAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: MBA in Accounting/Finance and/or CPA/CMA.
- Preferred: Multi-division experience and knowledge of the financial planning process.
- Preferred: Understanding of automated accounting systems (e.g., TM1) and mainframe/desktop accounting applications.
