Associate Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)

Responsibilities:
- Lead development, execution, and communication of payer evidence strategies aligned with brand/Value & Access priorities for early-stage pipeline assets.
- Collaborate with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Patient Advocacy.
- Contribute to payer/HTA understanding for patient-relevant outcomes and health utility measurement.
- Assess patient-relevant outcomes requirements for HTA and access to support differentiation and value demonstration.
- Incorporate payer evidence requirements into clinical development plans for optimal patient access.
- Lead cross-functionally aligned, asset-specific patient-relevant outcomes strategies informed by disease conceptual models.
- Plan patient-relevant endpoints and support implementation in clinical trials.
- Develop early Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) strategy, including access implications/trade-offs across markets.
- Identify payer evidence gaps and inform integrated evidence planning for early-stage assets.
- Partner with external partners for asset-level patient-relevant outcomes execution (PRO development/validation, health state valuation studies, patient preference research).
- Support scientific interactions with HTA agencies (briefing materials and evidence packages for PRO endpoints/MCIDs).
- Support scientific interactions with regulatory agencies and patient advocacy organizations.
- Analyze patient-relevant outcomes data (with Integrated Evidence Teams) to strengthen value propositions.
- Shape scientific communication plans; support presentation/publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Assess business development opportunities against payer/HTA requirements to identify risks and evidence gaps.

Qualifications:
- 7+ years pharma industry experience; 4+ years in HEOR roles; at least 2 years direct patient-relevant outcomes research experience.
- Advanced degree in health economics/outcomes research/epidemiology/public health/health services research/pharmacy or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of market access, value, and global HTA frameworks.
- Experience developing patient-relevant outcomes strategies for payer/HTA requirements.
- Experience evaluating/developing/validating PRO measures for regulatory/payer/HTA decisions.
- Experience supporting HTA submissions, value dossiers, and patient-relevant briefing books.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional stakeholders; manage multiple initiatives in fast-paced environments.
- Developing expertise in patient-reported outcomes.
- Experience engaging external stakeholders (HTA agencies, payers, health economists, clinical experts, patient advocacy).
- Rare disease experience preferred.
