Role Summary
The Associate Director, Government Pricing (GP) is a key member of Regeneronβs government pricing team, supporting the accurate calculation and timely submission of all required government price reporting. The role ensures compliance with pricing and reporting requirements legislated by CMS, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and applicable state legislation, with understanding of current and pending legislation. Government Pricing calculations include Medicaid, Medicare Part B, PHS/340B, and FSS (including Tricare and IFF). The Associate Director collaborates with Contracting Strategy to support overall strategy, contracting, and/or payment activities.
Responsibilities
- Calculate, validate, and report accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual government pricing.
- Submit and monitor State Price Transparency regulations.
- Research and communicate causes of variances in pricing across periods; document reasonable assumptions and methodologies.
- Ensure compliant submissions through processes such as G/L reconciliations, Class of Trade review, and PHS/340b eligibility review.
- Review calculations with Senior Management, obtain approval signoff, and communicate prices to government agencies or internally per SOPs.
- Maintain and update SOPs and reasonable assumptions quarterly related to Government Programs/Pricing.
- Monitor policies and processes supporting Government Pricing submissions to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Understand and estimate impact of pricing and policy changes on government pricing.
- Perform pricing research and analysis on special projects.
- Review commercial contract language related to BP, ASP, and FSS Tracking Customers.
- Investigate government pricing trends, provide inputs to GTN team, and assess cross-channel impact.
- Monitor for Tracking customer violations, Bona Fide Service Fee treatments, and COT assignments.
- Participate on cross-functional teams as a subject matter expert for Government Pricing and Contract Operations.
- Serve as a liaison with Commercial Leadership, Pricing, Trade, Brand, and Accounting/Finance on government pricing issues.
- Be familiar with Fair Market Value methodology when determining bona fide service fees paid to wholesalers, PBMs, and GPOs.
Role May Be For You If
- 7+ years of experience in Government Pricing or related fields (finance, accounting, Medicare/Medicaid) with strong analytical skills.
- Understanding of current government pricing rules, regulations, and calculations.
- Ability to identify problems, analyze, and propose solutions.
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and its commercial impact.
- Ability to decipher calculations to determine causes of variances.
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
