Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement proactive federal and state policy strategies to align with and protect Travere Therapeutics’ reputation and business goals.
- Translate emerging policy trends into actionable insights and recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders; design and lead implementation of strategic plans addressing rare disease drug development, diagnosis, treatment, and access.
- Develop company positions on major federal and state issues; monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, and policy developments; prepare meeting materials, policy briefs, and internal strategy documents.
- Create executive-level briefing materials, policy analyses, stakeholder engagement resources, and strategic planning documents.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., legislators; HHS/CMS and Executive Branch agencies; Administration; think tanks; third parties).
- Align policy direction and prioritization within the broader Corporate Affairs strategy.
- Lead engagement with state policymakers/agencies and key stakeholders (with the Director), coordinating enterprise advocacy strategies and policy priorities.
- Collaborate with Corporate Affairs and internal teams (Patient Advocacy and Commercial); interface with professional and patient groups related to rare diseases.
- Establish strategic goals, success metrics, operational priorities for policy initiatives, and monitor progress.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
- 8+ years in government affairs, health policy, or pharmaceutical policy; leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
- Experience in rare disease and/or biotech/pharma; health policy background; rare disease expertise preferred.

- Strong patient/caregiver/family focus; track record of positive interactions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage complexity, and create/manage complex project plans (timelines, budgets, critical paths).
