Associate Director, Global Trade Compliance

Role: Lead the global trade compliance program for Gilead, ensuring adherence to international import/export laws while facilitating efficient product flow across the pharmaceutical supply chain. Responsibilities: develop and execute trade compliance strategies aligned with corporate and supply chain goals; establish policies and oversee import/export operations including classification, licensing, and customs declarations; manage trade risk assessments, internal controls, and audits; serve as primary liaison with customs authorities and regulatory agencies; identify trade optimization opportunities and ensure compliance with evolving regulations; drive process standardization and system enhancements; collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams; develop trade compliance training and lead a global team. Requirements: BA with 10+ years or MA/MS with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries, with deep expertise in import/export regulations and trade risk management; proven ability to build and scale compliance programs and partner with Legal, Tax, and Finance functions. Preferred: advanced degree (Masters).
