Responsibilities / Primary Activities
- Creation and delivery of timely, high quality, contextualized scientific training materials for a global audience.
- Leverage technology to enhance scientific training interactivity and engagement.
- Assess qualitative and quantitative data and feedback to continuously improve training quality and inform decisions.
- Execute annual Global Scientific Training plans aligned to V&I plans; collaborate with regions/countries to assess and incorporate training needs.
- Lead and collaborate across GST and related teams to ensure alignment; apply subject-matter expertise and business acumen to scientific training development and implementation.
- Partner with Global Medical Leads to translate Global Medical objectives into scientific training objectives.
- Assess knowledge gaps and training requirements for field medical teams; help create annual TA FM training plans aligned to the V&I plan.
- Incorporate metrics into the GST plan (reach and effectiveness where applicable) and socialize plans with regional and V&I GMVC stakeholders.
- Define curricula requirements; collaborate with GSVC on timing/outline of scientific content; manage curricula/materials development to meet requirements.
- Develop training materials using adult learning principles; support review/approval.
- Ensure role-based capability training is incorporated into curricula.
- Identify, manage, and collaborate with external agencies; ensure quality of curricula/materials; resolve issues.
- Embed assessments in materials where appropriate for reporting/certification.
- Support delivery by establishing training calendar with regional leads; communicate timing/content shifts with country/regional leads; train regional trainers and collect/summarize metrics.
- Identify and manage external scientific leaders (in collaboration with FM) to deliver training.
- Assist with reporting measurement/certification information and gather feedback for future enhancements.

Required Qualifications
- PharmD/PhD/MD/DNP + at least 1 year relevant Medical Affairs, clinical practice, or learning & development; OR BS pharmacy/MSN/MS life sciences + 5 years; OR BS nursing/life sciences + 7 years relevant experience.
- Subject-matter expertise; project and vendor management proficiency.
- Knowledge of training management systems (e.g., Veeva, SharePoint, Axonify Discover).
- Relevant Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to work in a complex, global matrix environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), including persuasive skills.
- Experience creating and implementing training programs; understanding of adult learning.
- Demonstrated project management; ability to make informed decisions; self-motivated/solution-oriented.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD/PhD/PharmD) with preference for 3+ years relevant Medical Affairs experience.
- Global project management; vendor management; field-based medical experience.
- Publications process knowledge; scientific platform development; global medical communications process experience.
- Therapeutic area competency.
- Experience with multiple regional regulations/compliance requirements.
- Scientific writing/verbal communications; strong analytical skills and ability to translate strategy into action plans.
