Role Summary

Associate Director Global MES β€šΓ„Γ¬ PharmaSuite & PMX

You will be part of Tech@Lilly MQ (Manufacturing and Quality), driving manufacturing operational excellence and productivity through technology, enabling medicine production with safety first and quality always.

Responsibilities

  • People: supervise MES system, platform, and data engineers, plus the regional Service Delivery Lead; include performance and talent management, HR planning, and coaching.
  • Collaborate with the PharmaSuite Program Leader to develop and execute regional project plans, working with sites to establish deployment schedules aligned with future needs and strategic direction.
  • Oversee regional MES support, ensuring SLAs, robust support processes, and efficient management of PharmaSuite deployments.
  • Lead regional budget planning, financial management, and strategic business planning within approved budgets.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local and global stakeholders, including Site Leadership and MQ/DC Tech@Lilly and other partners.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers at the project level, aligning with goals and leveraging best practices for Pharma MES implementations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to balance local site needs with scalable, global support solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years managing MES deployment (PMX, PharmaSuite, Syncade)
  • Skills: Strong stakeholder management and communication; excellent leadership and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in Pharma and GMP Manufacturing

Additional Preferences

  • Experience managing programs/projects in the pharmaceutical business; experience managing software vendors and service providers
  • Leadership: proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams
  • Industry Engagement: active participation in industry forums and standards organizations

Other Information

  • Role is Monday through Friday and on-site; flexible to support production schedules and shutdowns
  • Occasional off-hours and weekend work may be required due to global scope
  • Regional and international travel to meet with vendors, project resources, and manufacturing sites
  • Role based in Indianapolis, IN
