Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Work with Head of Global Insurance & Risk Management to develop, implement, and manage Global Risk Financing Strategy aligned to group strategy.
- Lead Global Insurance Programs and end-to-end claims lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with global insurance regulations and legislation.
- Act as subject matter expert; develop/modify policies and solve complex problems with broad business impact.
- Manage US/global brokers; protect employees/assets/liabilities per global insurance placement strategy.
- Negotiate and implement key US/global insurance programs (e.g., Workers Compensation, Automobile Liability, Cyber Liability) and project/CAPEX policies.
- Manage premium allocation (incl. transfer pricing compliance), reinsurance agreements, KPIs, stewardship meetings, underwriting data/analysis, and underwriting submissions.
- Lead claims strategy, evaluate exposure/claims with TPAs/handlers, coordinate with Legal, manage claims reporting/audits, and reconcile invoices/settlements.
- Own/oversee insurance MI systems, deliver insurance awareness training, and support risk engineering/capital engineering plan reviews.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree (Economics/Finance/Business/Law preferred).
- Strong insurance risk management experience (client-facing or as a buyer) and global insurance program/client servicing knowledge.
- Knowledge of global insurance markets, legislation/regulations, and local market practice; strong US broker/insurer network.
- CII qualified/part-qualified or strong relevant academic achievements.
- Preferred: Life Sciences sector experience.
- Skills: drive/self-motivation, organizational/project management, communication/interpersonal, senior relationship management, adaptability under pressure, strong technical insurance knowledge, decision-making/negotiation, emotional intelligence, independent work.
