Key Responsibilities and Primary Activities (60% execution / 40% strategic support)
- Analyze complex real-world data (RWD) from administrative claims and EHRs.
- Design, build, and maintain internal data warehouses; develop reproducible RWE pipelines/platforms (R; SQL/Python as needed) using Git/GitHub; govern RWD analytics infrastructure (e.g., Posit Workbench, Databricks).
- Execute rapid and full protocol-driven studies (retrospective observational, prospective real-world, pragmatic, implementation science) to evaluate treatment effectiveness, care pathways, initiation, adherence/persistence, and outcomes.
- Apply advanced causal/statistical methods (e.g., Cox regression, propensity score matching, IPTW) to integrate diverse RWD.
- Ensure studies align with FDA/EMA guidance for label expansion and HTA submissions; partner with cross-functional teams and external partners to inform RWE across the product lifecycle.
- Stay current in RWE/HEOR/pragmatic/implementation science; present at conferences and publish.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, standards, and regulations; uphold ethical standards.
- Travel up to 30%.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Graduate degree (biostatistics/public health/epidemiology or similar); 10β12+ years relevant experience.
- Strong R programming, version control/collaborative tools (e.g., GitHub), and cloud analytics platforms (e.g., Posit Workbench, Databricks).
- Advanced statistical methods for RWD; familiarity with claims and EHR data assets.
- Experience with observational studies; prospective real-world/pragmatic/implementation science or health services research preferred.
- Strong publications track record and communication.
- Proficiency with project management/enterprise tools (e.g., Veeva, Microsoft Office/SharePoint/Teams/Zoom).
Preferred Attributes
- PhD; SQL and Python; liver disease (and cardiometabolic/MASH) expertise.
