Role Summary
The Associate Director, Global Forecasting will own U.S. short-term revenue forecasting while supporting European cluster forecasts for pipeline products. This role partners closely with Commercial, Finance, and operational teams to generate data-driven forecasts, provide actionable insights, and support key business decisions for late-stage pipeline and in-line products. This is a high-visibility role offering exposure to cross-functional stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to the launch and growth of innovative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Own U.S. short-term forecasting, leveraging market data and insights, competitor intelligence, and other inputs to inform near-term forecasts.
- Develop forecast scenarios and sensitivities to reflect market uncertainty and inform leadership’s risk/mitigation planning.
- Lead the integration of insights and analysis from multiple sources to support patient and revenue forecasts for European cluster products, aligned with standard forecasting assumptions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and commercial leadership (U.S. and EU) to ensure forecasts are aligned, consistent, and actionable.
- Co-lead performance analysis with the Data Analytics team, contributing to national-level KPI reporting and ensuring reconciliation of results against forecasts.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, communicating implications clearly across the organization.
- Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for commercial leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Act as forecasting lead in cross-functional launch and brand planning discussions, ensuring forecasts are embedded in commercial strategies.
- Integrate insights from Market Research and Field Force teams into forecasts, ensuring a forward-looking and objective perspective in decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement of forecasting processes and champion adoption of innovative tools and platforms.
- Establish documentation of assumptions and methodologies to drive transparency, reproducibility, and alignment across regions.
- Identify and apply new capabilities from AI/machine learning, piloting innovative analytical approaches to improve forecasting efficiency and impact.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, or Master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 3+ years
- Proven track record in revenue forecasting within branded biopharmaceuticals.
- Hands-on experience partnering with Finance on in-line short-term forecasting and actualization, using actual trends to reconcile near-term performance with strategic drivers.
- Solid understanding of financial and operational aspects of forecasting.
- Extensive experience building monthly forecasting models in Excel, including epidemiology-based and patient flow modeling for U.S. and EU cluster markets.
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to triangulate insights and data to generate defensible assumptions.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting complex insights to commercial leadership.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong stakeholder relationships.
