Associate Director, Generative AI

Role: Associate Director, Generative AI at Gilead, serving as the business product owner to develop, prototype, and scale AI and Gen AI solutions across commercial functions such as marketing, sales, and strategy in Gilead's global markets. Responsibilities: lead POCs and pilots aligned with enterprise frameworks, partner with IT for solution deployment, manage AI procurement initiatives, and oversee AI governance in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, GCO, and affiliates to shape use cases, ensure AI sustainability, and promote industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years or advanced degrees with relevant data science, analytics, or AI experience; proven success deploying Gen AI solutions in commercial settings; expertise in large language models, GANs, cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks. Preferred skills include excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership abilities, with experience scaling AI from pilot to production. High-Value: focus on Gen AI products for insights and content generation within pharma's commercial domain, with occasional travel to global sites. This is an individual contributor role, based in NJ or CA, supported by offshore data scientists.
