Associate Director, Generative AI (Individual Contributor)

Location: Parsippany, NJ or Foster City, CA
Reports to: Senior Director, Data Science – AI & Optimization

Role / Responsibilities:
- Own the feature roadmap; drive POCs/pilots and align with IT to build, deploy, and scale GenAI solutions across commercial functions.
- Assist with AI procurement (buy) and lead technical feasibility discussions.
- Support responsible AI governance and AI/tech integration; pressure test explainability, sustainability, and model-evolution roadmaps.
- Manage with IT platform choice and design for internally built solutions.
- Plan/develop cross-functional use cases with EDSC; serve as point of contact for AI policy/governance.
- Liaise with affiliates (US and ex-US) to shape AI use cases and pressure test build vs. buy.
- Support AI rollouts (GDI/US) and ensure sustainability; bring DS/AI best practices; lead AI literacy content with EDSC.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 10 years OR Master’s + 8 years OR PhD + 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years (BS) / 8+ (MS) / 6+ (PhD) in relevant DS/analytics/CS/development.
- Proven success deploying and scaling GenAI from pilot to production in commercial settings.

Technical Skills:
- GenAI product development (e.g., LLMs, GANs); cloud (AWS/Databricks); Docker/Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of AI regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, EU AI Act).

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $195,670.00–$253,220.00; may include discretionary bonus, long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life insurance.
