Associate Director, Generative AI

Role: Associate Director, Generative AI at Gilead, responsible for leading AI and Gen AI initiatives within commercial functions to enhance marketing, sales, and strategy across G9 countries. Responsibilities: act as product owner for AI features, drive rapid prototyping including proof-of-concepts and pilots, partner with IT for solution deployment, and support AI governance aligned with regulatory and ethical standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop cross-functional AI use cases, ensure scalability, and promote best practices in AI and data science. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years, Master's with 8+ years, or PhD with 6+ years in data science, AI, or related fields; proven success deploying Gen AI solutions in commercial settings; expertise in large language models, cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and familiarity with AI regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, EU AI Act). Skills include strong communication, influencing senior management, and program delivery. Preferred: experience scaling AI products from pilot to production, industry best practices, and AI literacy advocacy.
