The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement addresses post-prescribing access barriers for VHC Injectable implementation and user experience within a specified geographic region. Field Reimbursement personnel provide field-based, customer-facing educational resources to help healthcare providers and office staff navigate reimbursement complexities; provide specialized guidance when issues arise; and act as the subject-matter expert on reimbursement, access, and coverage for ViiV long acting injectables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mitigate access and reimbursement disruptions through education on payer coverage, policies, and acquisition pathways.
- Educate offices to independently navigate access and reimbursement challenges through the post-prescribing phase.
- Support complex access and reimbursement issues as needed.
- Identify and prioritize implementation barriers for removal at customer campuses.
- Develop strategic plans with next actions, action owners, and completion dates.
- Drive implementation barrier closure.
- Orchestrate coordinated plans across internal partners for aligned customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs Degree.
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical/healthcare reimbursement, specialty product support, payer marketing, patient support programs, or reimbursement HUB programs.
- Experience with J codes, Q codes, and reimbursement billing requirements.
- Ability to travel 50%+.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of payer channels (Medicare Parts B/C/D, Medicaid, commercial).
- Experience with specialty injected/infused products in buy-and-bill across sites of care.
- Experience with specialty pharmacy and reimbursement HUB services.
- Exceptional communication; strong relationship management; problem-solving and independent execution.
- Ability to educate offices; proactive implementation execution; indirect/direct leadership; knowledge of aligned accounts.
