Role Summary

Associate Director, Field Force Effectiveness-Oncology. This position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence and sales effectiveness across the Oncology Sales Team. The role requires collaborating with sales leadership and cross-functional partners to continuously improve sales force effectiveness and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Regional Sales Directors, Oncology and brand teams to set operational strategy in alignment with brand strategy, coordinating with cross-functional team members on integrated planning initiatives.
  • Develop and implement sales effectiveness processes and methodologies to enhance sales performance while collaborating.
  • Ensure cross-functional communication and alignment with Key Accounts Team, Field Access and Reimbursement, Trade, Medical and National Accounts on operational processes and capabilities.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on sales process governance, capability frameworks, and operational compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Analytics to establish and monitor sales effectiveness metrics and performance dashboards specific to operational KPIs, ensuring regular distribution to field leadership.
  • Work with Finance to ensure operational budgets for sales effectiveness tools, training programs, and performance improvement initiatives are properly aligned with strategic priorities and generate reports to monitor budget adherence.
  • Partner with Commercial Training on operational aspects of Plan of Action methodology, Train the Trainer programs, Career Development pathways, sales skills training, and capability development curriculum.
  • Act as primary communication liaison between home office operations teams and field sales teams on process improvements and capability development.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of sales effectiveness tools including Veeva CRM configurations, performance dashboards, and territory management systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships for operational technology solutions and Sales effectiveness platforms.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical industry experience with field management and/or home office operations experience.
  • Sales operations, process improvement, or CRM implementation experience preferred.
  • Product launch operations experience a plus.
  • 25% travel including 10%-20% field time with Medical Sales Specialists for operational coaching, capability assessment, and performance optimization.

  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret operational metrics and translate insights into actionable improvement plans.
  • Cross-functional coordination to execute sales effectiveness initiatives.
  • Ability to influence senior executives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and manage internal networks.
  • Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics platforms, sales process optimization, and performance management tools.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
