Job Summary
The Field Access Manager (FAM) is a customer-facing role focused on providing coverage and access education to minimize payor and pharmacy barriers for patients and providers (HCP and HCP staff) by delivering accurate managed care coverage, payor policy, and affordability information for Incyte products in an assigned geography.
Access Support (Key Responsibilities)
- Educate HCPs and key stakeholders on prior authorization, coverage status, payor appeals, medical exception requirements, alternate funding options, and associated processes/timelines; provide live education.
- Build and maintain relationships with HCP offices and assigned health care systems to resolve payor/UM criteria issues.
- Monitor in-process patient cases through a patient navigator portal (with proper patient consent).
- Use knowledge of specialty pharmacy services/connectivity to support specialty distribution navigation.
- Use knowledge of retail Dermatology pharmacy services/connectivity to support retail distribution navigation.
- Apply knowledge of payor presence/influence, payor mix, product coverage, and payor policies.
- Serve as subject matter expert on reimbursement and access across Incyte patient support programs; comply with all regulations/laws/company policies.
Business Support
- Develop and implement innovative patient access solutions; set ambitious objectives.
- Create business plans via strategic analyses of local customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify/respond to local opportunities and customer needs.
- Collaborate with Dermatology Business Director on local access strategy and KPI achievement.
- Improve access deliverables/services and customer experience with internal/external partners; partner with compliance/legal to ensure program compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (healthcare, business, or life sciences).
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical/healthcare experience (prior therapeutic area/biologics desirable); district management/patient access/managed markets preferred.
- Experience with specialty pharmacies, retail Dermatology pharmacies, distribution hubs, and managed care.
- Self-motivated; strong decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, resilience/adaptability.
- Ability to lead without authority and build strategic long-term partnerships.
- Proven ability to translate vision/strategy into tactical/local plans; interact with KOLs/high-influence customers.
- Strong communication/presentation and business analytics skills.
- In-field role: call on customers 3β4 days/week.
