Associate Director, Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) Manager

Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary supplier relationship contact; provide organization, supervision, strategic initiatives, and technical support to manage supply of designated products.
- Ensure high-quality product manufacturing in compliance with local and international regulations; coordinate release/delivery per forecasts, schedules, and cost plans.
- Manage projects/programs impacting AbbVie to ensure cost-effective, marketable, and manufacturable products and maximize profitability across the product life cycle.
- Negotiate Manufacturing Service Agreements and amendments; ensure compliance.
- Establish planning and material procurement strategies for required materials.
- Communicate product forecasts; agree on manufacturing and delivery schedules with Supply Chain/Planning to meet demand.
- Participate in development of Financial Operating Plan, Updates, LRP, and standard processes to meet financial goals.
- Coordinate Steering Committee; monitor Virtual Operation Teams to evaluate performance, address issues, and escalate when needed.
- Review status reports and prepare updates for senior leadership.
- Partner with technical/quality to review process performance and quality trends; drive process improvement plans.
- Establish governance, guidelines, and communication channels; ensure supplier quality systems/documentation meet regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate QA annual quality management review and periodic audits; investigate deviations; ensure timely product disposition; set and track performance metrics.
- Develop/implement/manage programs/projects including scope, cost, time/resources, communication, and risk management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (science/technical preferred); MSc or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, project management, quality, and S&T.
- Broad business perspective; strong manufacturing process knowledge.
- Strong project experience; ability to influence others.
- Leadership and exceptional communication (listening, verbal, presentation, written).
- Prior experience managing subcontracted relationships preferred.
- Strategy development/planning skills; knowledge of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and supply.
- Issue identification; problem analysis and solution development.
- Team player; experience in a globally oriented environment.
- Strong knowledge of business financial systems and tools.
