Associate Director, Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) Manager
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary supplier relationship contact, providing organization, supervision, strategic initiatives, and technical support to manage supply of designated products.
- Ensure high-quality product manufacturing in compliance with local and international regulations; ensure release and delivery per forecasts, schedules, and cost plan.
- Manage projects/programs to ensure cost-effective, marketable, manufacturable products and maximize profitability across the product life cycle.
- Negotiate Manufacturing Service Agreement and amendments; ensure compliance with agreement terms.
- Ensure planning and material procurement strategies supply the TPM with required materials.
- Communicate product forecasts and align manufacturing/delivery schedules; coordinate with Supply Chain and Planning to meet demand forecasts.
- Participate in development of Financial Operating Plan, Updates, LRP, and standard processes to meet financial goals.
- Coordinate the Steering Committee; monitor Virtual Operations Teams performance and escalate as needed.
- Review status reports and prepare updates for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with technical and quality teams to review process performance/quality trends and agree on improvement plans.
- Establish governance and communication channels; ensure supplier quality systems/documentation meet regulatory requirements and follow inspection responses/commitments.
- Coordinate with QA on annual quality management review and periodic TPM audits; ensure deviations are investigated and dispositions are timely; establish and track performance metrics.
- Develop/implement programs/projects including scope, cost, time/resource, communication, and risk management through all project phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (science/technical preferred); MSc or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, project management, quality, and S&T.
- Broad business perspective and strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Strong project experience; ability to influence others.
- Leadership and superior communication skills (listening, verbal, presentation, written).
- Previous experience managing subcontracted relationships preferred.
- Strategy development/planning skills with knowledge of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and supply activities.
- Issue identification; problem analysis and solution development.
- Global team orientation.
- Strong knowledge of business financial systems and tools.
