Associate Director, ExploR&D Consultation Agreements

Role: Associate Director, ExploR&D Consultation Agreements, leading negotiation and execution of contracts between Lilly ExploR&D and external biotech partners across preclinical and development phases. Responsibilities: manage high-volume, end-to-end negotiations; serve as primary biotech interface; translate scientific scope into commercial contract terms; collaborate with legal, finance, and R&D teams; negotiate amendments; maintain deal pipeline and drive process efficiencies. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; 7+ years in business development, contracting, or R&D consulting within biotech, pharma, or life sciences; strong negotiation, contract drafting, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred: advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MS) with deep R&D fluency; experience engaging biotech leaders; alliance management; familiarity with early-stage biotech ecosystem; excellent communication skills.
