Associate Director, ExploR&D Consultation Agreements

Role: Associate Director, ExploR&D Consultation Agreements — leads negotiation and execution of collaboration contracts between Lilly ExploR&D and external biotech partners across preclinical and development stages. Responsibilities: manage high-volume agreement negotiations, translating scientific scope into commercial terms, drafting and redlining contracts collaboratively with Legal, and ensuring compliance with Lilly’s governance standards. Partners with scientific teams to define scope and deliverables, and oversees contract amendments and change orders, maintaining deal tracking and process efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree, 7+ years of experience in business development, contracting, or R&D consulting within biotech, pharma, or life sciences; deep understanding of drug discovery and development. Preferred: advanced life sciences degree (PhD, PharmD, MS), experience negotiating biotech agreements, alliance management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
