Associate Director for Engineering - Major Capital
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach engineering disciplines that support major capital projects.
- Complete performance reviews and employee development planning.
- Ensure staff are qualified and training is carried out and adapted to need.
- Recruit, manage resource planning, and support succession planning.
- Prioritize and coordinate major capital projects with site lead, flow, and process teams.
- Drive continual improvement of business process performance.
- Manage changes within project execution.
- Interface with key customers and stakeholders to create value and ensure commitments are met.
- Demonstrate commitment to environmental, health, and safety (including PSM).
- Identify, track, and report key indicators of functional performance; ensure compliance.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Process Engineering, Project Management, or large project design/delivery experience required; supervision experience desired.
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering manufacturing-related experience, preferably biotech/API.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Education

Other Information
- Regular 8-hour day, 5 days/week; occasional off-schedule work possible.
- <5% annual travel; 24/7 cell phone availability; PPE required for manufacturing/lab areas.
