Associate Director Engineering (Hybird)

Role: Senior leader in digital operations within Development Sciences and Clinical Supply, focusing on advancing AI-enabled data platforms and intelligent agents to improve experimental efficiency, data quality, and decision-making. Responsibilities: define and lead programs for governed, AI-ready data foundations, develop and oversee lifecycle management of data products, automation, and intelligent agents; translate complex business needs into technical roadmaps; establish engineering and governance standards; lead team development, stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies; partner with teams on evaluation, deployment, and responsible AI practices. Requirements: 7+ years in data engineering, software development, or AI/ML, with hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, cloud data platforms, and enterprise AI tools like Gemini/Vertex AI; proven project and team leadership; experience building LLM and generative AI solutions; knowledge of GxP, regulated environments, security, and compliance standards. Preferred: advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.), familiarity with pharmaceutical R&D, clinical supply, or regulated data environments. High-value: focus on agentic AI, decision intelligence, automation in biopharma development contexts, with a hybrid work setup based in US or Switzerland and some travel (~10%).
